COMELEC Proclaims Winning Senators
The Commission on Election proclaimed the 12 winning Senators of the recently held national election. Nine Senators were initially proclaimed on Saturday, May 15, 2010 while the last 3 were proclaimed earlier today.
Of the 12 Senators, 6 were re-electionists, 4 are returning senators and 2 are new to the senate who were both former congressmen. The complete list of the 12 winning senators are (according to vote ranking):




Presidential Electoral Tribunal to start canvassing today
The two chambers of congress will start convening themselves as Presidential Electoral Tribunal that will canvas the votes for the positions of President and Vice-President. This is despite the allegations of massive electoral fraud being aired by losing candidates on the recently held May 10 national election.
Nine members from each houses of congress will form part of the Presidential Electoral Tribunal, the House panels is composed of House Speaker Prospero Nograles, Majority Leader Arthur Defensor, Minority Leader Ronaldo Zamora, Senior Deputy Majority Leader Neptali Gonzales II, Senior Deputy Minority Leader Roilo Golez, Reps. Crispin Remulla (Cavite), Didagen Dilangalen (Shariff Kabunsuan with Cotabato City), and Matias Defensor (Quezon City), and Michael John Duavit (Rizal).
